An Achievable Dream Middle & High School

An Achievable Dream was founded to give students who are at risk of failure due to multiple social factors a chance to succeed. To this purpose, James River Architects was asked to renovate the existing Briarfield Elementary School for use as a middle and high school for An Achievable Dream participants. In addition to 57,000 S.F. of renovated classrooms, administrative areas, and additional spaces, the school boasts a new media center, large multi-purpose room and gymnasium. A new facade welcomes students as they arrive, and new windows and roofing throughout the school complete the transformation from outdated elementary school to a modern center of learning.
